The Enchanted Tree

Walking along the beach at Scarborough today I found this fabulous tree. It made my heart sing as it brought back precious memories of when I took our youngest child on a bush walk, we found a similar tree. The next day we went back and took all her favourite toys and played for hours. I encouraged Ella to make up her own story about the tree. It’s so important to encourage young minds to use their imagination and find their magical place where they can always visit.

Play based activities help develop creativity, imagination and allows make believe become real. It allows children to create a space where they feel safe and engage with their ability to be anything they desire.

As a stay at home mum to three children, every moment with them was filled with stories, play, fun, learning and love. I have never regretted making the choice to leave my profession as a Registered Nurse to become a full time mum. I miss those days, as our children are all adults now. But I will always cherish the time I had with them, the memories and especially the special time when we found that enchanted tree.
