Strength or Weakness

It doesn’t take long for your children to recognise your strengths and weaknesses. My head starts to hurt when I talk about the day I offered to volunteer for my son’s year 3 maths lesson. I thought to myself, I’ve got this, year 3, easy peasy, right? Not right, I had to fake the lesson and pretend to know what I was taking about. I kept telling myself, look confident Christine, speak with authority Christine, then everyone will believe what you’re saying.

My saving grace through this very stressful and embarrassing experience was I had my son in my group, who is brilliant at maths, so he had my back…Phew!!!!

I walked out of that lesson with a migraine and confirmed the fact that Maths was not my strength. 😂

So what is your strength? Just ask your children and they will tell you straight away. After that day, my children never ask me to help them with their maths 😂

We are all unique. There is nobody like us. We all have different strengths. Never compare yourself to anyone else. Find your strength and embrace it, nurture it and share it. You are the only one in the world with this exact gift.
