BREATHE

It’s a word we use occasionally, but it’s an involuntary action we unconsciously do 24/7. With every breath there is life, without breath there is no longer life.

‘Breathe,’ can be used as a figure of speech which reminds us that we are alive, we are present and if we keep breathing the struggle that we are facing will soon pass, so just keep breathing.

Such a simple action, but when we are in the midst of trauma, tragedy or anything that creates anxiety or pain, breathing seems so difficult. There might even be a time when you don’t want to breathe anymore, that alone is too painful.

I can speak from experience that I have felt this. I tried to stop the pain and anxiety by trying to take away my life breathing breath. But I am reminded today to take a breath, I know I can do it. Take one day at a time as we take one breath at a time. There is so much to unravel in the word, ‘breathe.’

It holds the answers to all of our problems. Keep breathing and all your anxieties, pain will be laid to rest.

Today I made a decision to breathe, I no longer have to hold my breath, or blow it out, I am going to consciously take a breath.
